We decided to make this application at the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020. Since that time many health care facilities got masks, gloves, protective clothing, and other safety equipment thanks to the application. Many people help differently by bringing meals for medical services. The application enables communication easily among various stakeholders. It is simple and fast. We are proud we could help during that taught time - said Krzysztof Szukieć, CEO Stepwise.
The application works very simply. Hospitals and residential care homes can easily enter their needs into the system. The donors may see its current needs and through the local coordinator, they can declare their help or support. Local coordinator who knows hospitals needs, search for the products, collect the items and deliver to the facilities.
It is currently used by two NGOs in two countries. In Poland by Wsparciedlaszpitala.pl, where almost 700 hospitals and residential care homes are registered and in Ukraine by: Helpmed.in.ua where 20 facilities are registered.
